Benifits of Life Membership

PICT Alumni association (PAA) is a Non Profit organization, Incorporated in 2009 under society registration law 1860. Reg. no. :- MAH / 1469/ 2009/ Pune Dated 23 / 11 / 2009.

MAIN OBJECTIVES TO BE PURSUED BY THE SOCIETY ON  ITS INCORPORATION:

(1) To promote interaction amongst the Alumni members and between the Alumni and the Pune Institute of Computer Technology.

(2) To encourage, promote and facilitate education and research and other activities of the Institute.

In addition the ancillary objectives spell out activities relating to students at the PICT.

The association therefore has alumni, PICT and student centric focus. The association is meant to provide Alumni with a forum to re-unite us and continue our association with the Institute in more ways than one.

GENERAL BENEFITS:

The association offers several benefits not necessarily quantifiable in monetary terms. Some of those intangible benefits are:

Opportunities of being a part of a strong network of Alumni and those within the PICT. This could be of immense help in our professions.

A chance to participate in seminars, workshops, and technical events and showcase one’s skills and/or accomplishments & meet eminent specialists.

Participation in programmes conducted at the PICT and/or being on the faculty in such programmes at the initiative of the associations.

Invitations to Campus events.

Access to the association’s database.

Newsletter – reading and contributing.

A conduit of participating in Research activities at PICT.

Besides these, the PICT itself offers some benefits to members of the alumni association, and they are:

The association is planning to get access to the PICT library for Alumni.

Technical collaboration in projects.

Academic collaboration.

CHAPTERS:

To facilitate participation in activities closer to home, local city chapters are being ecouraged in India and abroad. These would organize events in their geographical areas and local members could participate.
